Wonder Villains almost gave up on a song but their philosophy saw it through.
We gave a second chance to a song we wrote a while ago called Blonde. The song was quite a different sound for us and we were really excited about it. The day it was written we were dancing around the living room which is always a good sign!
The problem was we found it hard to fit it in our live set. We played it live a few times but we couldn’t make it kickass enough. It didn’t click. We put ourselves completely off the song and kicked it out of the band. It was forgotten about for a year until one day while we were plotting our album we stumbled across the old Blonde demo.
It brought us back to the way we felt when we were dancing around the house and we became determined to give it a second chance and make it the track we knew it could be. Since then, it’s been released as a single and become one of our most loved tracks. Don’t give up on something you think could be amazing just because it didn’t work straight away. Give it a chance.
